The hotel may have had an ugly view over farm buildings, but the rooms were of good size. The staff were doing it all, although service suffered a bit due to the multitasking. The location in The New Forest was ideal despite the slightly worn appearance. The dining experience was enjoyable, especially for those with dogs. Overall, a peaceful family getaway, although somewhat hidden in the forest.

I stayed on a 3-night bed and breakfast deal in an Agister room for £113. The hotel's rooms were decorated but still had old, dated furniture, and the en-suites seemed old with the toilet not working properly. Despite the musky and damp furniture, my room was comfortable with a spacious bathroom. The service staff appeared friendly and polite, though a bit scruffy in attire. The location, just behind the hotel car park leading out into the New Forest, was exceptional for country walks and conveniently close to the village of Burley. The dining experience offered limited options, and the facilities were average, with the highlight being wood-fired pizza available.
